Automation Testing – Module-Wise Learning Outcomes
The curriculum is structured to help learners progress step by step, from automation basics to a Playwright framework they can maintain on a project.
-
Automation Testing Foundations
Learn when to automate, how the test pyramid works, and why stable locators matter. See how automation sits beside manual testing in a project.
By the end of this module, learners will know what belongs in an automated suite and what should stay manual.
-
Playwright Setup
Install Node.js, create a Playwright project, write a first test, and use assertions and the test runner across browsers.
By the end of this module, learners will run Playwright tests locally and read a passing or failing result.
-
Locators and Page Interactions
Work with forms, clicks, inputs, waits, and fixtures so tests stay reliable when the page changes.
By the end of this module, learners will automate common user journeys on a web application.
-
Advanced Playwright
Cover API checks, network mocking, traces, screenshots, and video so failures are easy to investigate.
By the end of this module, learners will debug a failed test and validate both UI and API behavior.
-
Framework Design
Organize tests with the Page Object Model, shared test data, configuration, and parallel runs.
By the end of this module, learners will structure a suite the way a project team maintains it.
-
Real-Time Automation Projects
Build an end-to-end Playwright suite for a sample application, including reports the team can review.
By the end of this module, learners will have project work they can walk through in an interview.
-
Interview Preparation & Placement Support
Prepare for technical interviews with mock sessions, resume guidance, and real interview scenarios aligned with Infosys hiring patterns.
By the end of this module, learners will be confident attending interviews for automation testing roles.
