SAP MM – Module-Wise Learning Outcomes

The curriculum is structured across 9 phases and 32 topics to help learners progress step by step, building strong SAP MM foundations and advancing toward real-world functional consulting expertise.

  1. Phase 1 — Foundations: ERP, SAP Basics & Introduction to MM ERP and supply chain challenges, SAP architecture and navigation, introduction to SAP MM sub-modules, Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, and MM organizational structure configuration.

    By the end of this phase, learners will understand SAP MM overview, procurement lifecycle, and core organizational structures.

  2. Phase 2 — Master Data: Material Master, Vendor Master & Purchasing Info Records Material master configuration, vendor master and Business Partner, purchasing info records, source lists, and quota arrangements.

    By the end of this phase, learners will create and maintain MM master data including materials, vendors, and sourcing records.

  3. Phase 3 — Procurement Cycle: PR, RFQ, PO, and Contracts Purchase requisition with release strategy, RFQ and quotation comparison, purchase orders, and outline agreements including contracts and scheduling agreements.

    By the end of this phase, learners will execute the complete Procure-to-Pay cycle from PR through PO and contracts.

  4. Phase 4 — Inventory Management, Goods Movements & Physical Inventory Inventory overview and stock types, goods receipt, goods issue and transfer postings, and physical inventory procedures.

    By the end of this phase, learners will manage goods movements, stock types, and physical inventory processes.

  5. Phase 5 — Valuation, Account Determination & Invoice Verification Material valuation and account determination, material ledger and actual costing, and Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV) with three-way match.

    By the end of this phase, learners will configure valuation, account determination, and invoice verification with tolerance handling.

  6. Phase 6 — Special Procurement, Pricing, and Services Subcontracting, consignment, third-party procurement, stock transport orders, MM pricing and condition technique, and external services management.

    By the end of this phase, learners will configure special procurement types, pricing procedures, and service procurement.

  7. Phase 7 — Warehouse Management, Integration & S/4HANA MM Warehouse Management overview and EWM direction, MM integration with FI, PP, SD, and QM, and SAP MM on S/4HANA including Fiori apps and Ariba integration.

    By the end of this phase, learners will understand WM/EWM concepts, cross-module integration, and S/4HANA MM innovations.

  8. Phase 8 — Implementation, Support, Reporting & Industry Scenarios SAP Activate implementation methodology, production support activities, MM reporting and analytics, and real-time industry scenarios across automotive, pharma, FMCG, and manufacturing.
