Performance Testing – Module-Wise Learning Outcomes
The curriculum is structured to help learners progress step by step, from performance testing foundations to hands-on JMeter and LoadRunner work.
-
Performance Testing Foundations
Understand load, stress, soak, spike, and endurance testing. Learn SLA, response time, throughput, concurrency, and how performance testing fits into the software lifecycle.
By the end of this module, learners will know which performance test to choose and which metrics matter on a real project.
-
Apache JMeter
Build thread groups, HTTP samplers, timers, assertions, and listeners. Use CSV data, extractors, and correlation to script realistic user journeys.
By the end of this module, learners will design and run a JMeter load test against a web application.
-
LoadRunner
Record and enhance VuGen scripts, set up Controller scenarios, and read Analysis reports for response time, hits per second, and errors.
By the end of this module, learners will execute a LoadRunner scenario and explain the results.
-
Scripting, Parameters, and Correlation
Handle dynamic values, think time, pacing, checkpoints, and parameterization so scripts stay stable as the application changes.
By the end of this module, learners will fix failing scripts and keep test data realistic.
-
Monitoring and Bottleneck Analysis
Read CPU, memory, database, and application-server signals alongside test results, and connect slow transactions to likely causes.
By the end of this module, learners will write findings that developers and project teams can act on.
-
Real-Time Performance Projects
Plan a workload, run the test, and deliver a performance report with graphs, observations, and recommendations.
By the end of this module, learners will have project work they can discuss in interviews.
-
Interview Preparation & Placement Support
Prepare for technical interviews with mock sessions, resume guidance, and real interview scenarios aligned with Infosys hiring patterns.
By the end of this module, learners will be confident attending interviews for performance testing roles.
